Root Ball

This Year's Root Ball

This signature fundraising event will be a special celebration of Greenscape’s 50 years of impact on Jacksonville’s precious tree canopy, featuring an exciting Masters Tournament theme. Guests will enjoy an evening filled with delicious dining, a lively five-hole mini-golf tournament, and both live and silent auctions – offering exclusive items and experiences.

This one-of-a-kind event will not only honor Greenscape’s rich history but also rally support for the future of urban forestry in our community. Proceeds from the evening will directly fund Greenscape’s vital programs, helping to plant, protect, and promote trees throughout Jacksonville. Don’t miss this opportunity to tee up for a greener future while celebrating five decades of environmental stewardship!

History of the Root Ball

The History of the Root Ball

Greenscape of Jacksonville, Inc. was founded in 1975 by Ann Baker and Susan Fisher and, for 50 years, has enriched the Jacksonville community through the planting, protection, and promotion of trees. In 2007, Greenscape entered into a partnership with the Late Bloomers Garden Club for a fundraiser called the Root Ball. The Late Bloomers served as the coordinating and planning committee, working with the Greenscape staff and Board of Directors.
